On Thursday, June 16th, Dr Paul Houston Blankenship, Seattle University, USA launched Spiritual Accompaniment and Marginalisation in the Vincentian Tradition: An Exploratory Study by Dr Maire Eibhlis NicUaithuas, DC. Paul wrote his PhD dissertation on an ethnography on the spiritual lives of people experiencing homelessness and is also, like Eibhlis, a trained and practicing spiritual director. Prior to entering the academy he worked as a social worker.
Dr Eddie Cosgrove offered a response to the book. Dr Cosgrove is a graduate of the MA in Applied Spirituality, and Director and Men’s Team Co-ordinator of the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) in Dublin.
